Tip: Don't bother with T2 (Fiberglass Rod) — save 1,000g more and jump straight from T1 to T3 (Carbon Rod). The price gap from T1→T3 is only 1,500g, while T2→T3's 1,000g is completely wasted transitional spending. T3's +30% fishing bar gives you way more minigame leeway.
